Pile installation templates

Pile installation templates are used for the positioning of some designs of jacket foundation during their installation into the seabed.

Description of Manufacturing Process
Machined either from forged or cast steel blocks or from cut and welded plates. Further machining, including turning, milling, drilling and boring may be required.

Description of Supply Chain
Templates are typically manufactured by the installation contractor. It generally manufactures most of the template in house, with certain bespoke components bought in from specialists where required.

Demand for CNC manufacturers to supply bespoke parts for templates is expected to remain low as templates can be reused across many foundation installations. Templates are also specific to some designs of jacket foundations.
